2022 World Championships in Athletics live stream: How can I watch FREE on TV in the UK today?

Dina Asher-Smith, Daryll Neita and Imani Lansiquot are the three British women who will kick off their 100m campaigns in the heats, with Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce among those expected to deliver in Eugene.

Immediately after, the men’s 100m semi-finals take place. Reece Prescod disappointed as he failed to make it through the heats, but teammate Zharnel Hughes is still on board with a shout out heading into day two of competition. The two fastest from each of the three semi-finals, along with the other two fastest times, will qualify for the final which will take place at 3:05 BST on Sunday morning.

Laura Muir has started her championships with confidence and she is competing in the 1500m semi-finals just before the men’s 100m final.

World Championships in Athletics Date, Start Time and Venue in UK

The 2022 British Athletics Championship runs from Friday July 15 to Sunday July 24.

The meeting will take place in the United States at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Day two action begins with the women’s triple jump at 6.30pm BST.

TV channel: Live coverage of the first day of action will be shown live on BBC Channels, with coverage also available on the BBC Sport website and app.

19:00-22:15 – BBC Three

01:05-04:35 (Sunday morning) – BBC One
